Our guides explain search in plain words. This page says where their facts come from, how we keep them current, and what we do when we get something wrong.
Who writes them
Guides are written by the Serplify team, the people who build and run our SERP API and traffic products. They carry the "Serplify Team" byline because the work is shared: drafting, checking each number against its source, and keeping the guide up to date.
Where the numbers come from
- SERP fetches we ran. When a guide says what Google shows for a search, we pulled that results page through a SERP API and saved what came back. We state the date, the country, and the device, because results change with all three. Larger samples get a methods section and, where we can, the raw data.
- Named public sources. Click-through rates, Google statements, and studies by other companies are linked in the guide and listed under "Sources".
- Product facts. Our own prices and features come from our pricing page and documentation. Competitor prices come from their public pricing pages, with the month we checked them.
Dates and updates
Every guide shows the date it was published. When we change a fact, a price, or a step, we add an "Updated" date. Google changes often, so we review guides when we notice a change.
Our products and our competitors
We sell a SERP API, website traffic, and SEO traffic, so we have an interest in those topics. Guides say so when they mention our products. When we compare tools, we show prices with the date we checked them, and we say where a competitor is cheaper or a better fit for the job.
